BRT Administrative Assistant/Receptionist (for HR)BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join the Human Resources team.
This position will be communicating with individual and customers at all levels, so we are looking for someone who can be professional and work in a fast-paced environment.
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant will have a wide array of clerical and administrative duties to support HR and other departments.
This position is an hourly non-exempt position with a general schedule of Monday through Friday -8am to 5pm This is a non-exempt hourly position with a wage of $16 to $17/hour depending upon experience.

Essential duties of the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist:
(for HR)Greet customers and employees and answer questions or direct them to appropriate personnelHandle incoming calls and distribute as necessary or take messagesReview daily supervisor shift logs and create attendance disciplinary documents to be distributedUpdate attendance log (using data from shift logs) for HR and report out weekly to HR Manage the attendance documents and write ups and scan into data files or HRISMake calls to new employees to complete attendance terminationsManage incoming resumes from ATS (Breezy) and screen, communicate with and schedule interviews for recruiting specialist and disposition the applications accordingly.
Communicate with new hires to ensure all documentation and onboarding is completeComplete the HRIS Employer Onboarding process for new hiresDistributing mail into Supervisor mailboxWill complete some administrative projects and create PPT presentations for President, CFO and HR Director and ManagerOrder supplies as requestedManage USA Safety Gear orders for processing Handle the communication with uniform supplier and notify payroll of deductions/depositsFiling as neededComply with Company policies including but not limited to attendance and safety policies Will generally work an 8am to 5pm shift.
During peak season, OT may be required but limitedRequirements of The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist:
(for HR)Must have at least 2 years' experience in an office environment doing administrative and computer work.
Must have good communication, computer skills and excellent phone etiquette.
Will be detail oriented.
Must be able to handle calls on a multi-line phone system and be comfortable with inbound and outbound calls.
Must have ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and to communicate with employees and customers professionally and calmly.
Must be able to show a sense of urgency to complete and prioritize work and problem solve through customer or employee requests.
Must be able to prioritize tasks while answering the phones and handling guests/ visitors.
Human Resources systems experience is a plus.
Humar Resources assistant experience is a plus.
Will be flexible in taking on additional projects.
Must be 18 years of age.
Physical requirements of the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist:
This position requires the individual to work in an office/ factory/manufacturing environment.
The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high in the factory area.
An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, frequently.
They also must be able to sit for long periods of time, repeating the same movements.
An individual in this role will remain stationary and move about the office or factory as needed per essential duties of the position.
An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read, follow and give written directions/procedures to employees with or without reasonable accommodations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
